Somerset House Trust first opened its doors to the public 25 years ago with a mission to foster and support the next generation of Artists and Creatives. Transforming the iconic Neo-Classical Georgian building into a dynamic ecosystem of artists’ studios, creative offices, co-working spaces and fabrication workshops. Today, Somerset House continues to provide vital space, funding, and opportunities to over 500 resident business and artists; inviting everyone, regardless of age, background, or professional stage, to ‘Step Inside and Think Outside’.

The anniversary summer shop celebrates the extraordinary talent and cultural program of our creative community. Featuring a curated range of books, zines, artworks, handcrafted décor and more, each item offers bold alternative perspectives on the pressing issues of our time whilst reflecting on key moments in Somerset House’s history.

At a time when funding and space for the arts and humanities are increasingly under threat, the role of Somerset House Trust as a home for cultural innovators is more vital than ever. With the majority of each sale going directly to the artists and the remainder reinvested back into the Trust, this shop embodies the spirit of sustainable creativity. It is not just a reflection of our history – it is a statement of our future.
